The owner is the one turning the wrenches
After graduating high school with honors, Alex Ivey started down the path of a business degree, then decided a desk wasn't for him. He went back for a second degree in HVACR, driving 70 miles each way to the nearest school, and earned his EPA license the same year.
He spent the next decade learning the trade inside and out. In 2015 he founded Ivey's, earned his mechanical contractor's certification, and picked up state licenses in both Mississippi and Alabama. In 2017 his wife Stephanie joined to run the phones and scheduling, and the family business was off and running, from a single Ford Explorer to a four-van fleet.
Today Alex is one of the most recognized HVAC technicians in the country, but the part that matters to customers is simpler: he still shows up, and he still does the work.

Ivey's is founded
Alex opens the doors in Moss Point with one truck, his mechanical contractor's certification, and MS + AL licenses.

Stephanie joins
His wife takes over scheduling and operations, and it becomes a true family business.

Top 40 Under 40
Alex is named to ACHR News' Top 40 Under 40 in HVAC, and finishes top-10 nationally in the ServiceTitan championship.

2nd in the nation
Alex takes 2nd place at the ServiceTitan HVAC National Championship, featured on CBS Sports.
